For the past 26 years they have sponsored a kids fishing day for the past 26 years to introduce at risk children to fishing by teaching them the sport giving them a rod and a prize. At the fishing club located at 201 fifth street in downtown west palm beach on the corner of north flagler drive and 5th street.

The meetings begin with a quick tips speaker at 7 00 pm with the business meeting and guest speaker starting at 7 30 pm. We meet the first tuesday every month at the vfw in palm coast and have a different speaker topic each month. The sailfish club is truly a club for all seasons. The silver sailfish derby established by the west palm beach fishing club in january 1935 is the oldest running sailfish tournament in the world. And older allowing them to compete for sponsored prizes throughout the angling year which runs nov. Our facility was added to the west palm beach register of historic places in 1998.

The gate opens at 7 a m. The contest is open to all wpbfc members age 10 yrs.
